Hi! My name is Jessie and I am a pelvic floor physical therapist. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved to the east coast to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at New York University. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

My initial interest in pelvic health stemmed from exposure during PT school which provided powerful insight into gender bias and how pelvic health concerns, especially women’s, are often dismissed. My mission is to provide a restorative environment to encourage and empower my clients to connect with and heal their bodies.

I have extensive experience practicing pelvic floor physical therapy including previously establishing the Pelvic Health Program for a large physical therapy practice and acting as the Program Director, mentoring dozens of other Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists. I have and continue to stay current with continuing education courses on topics including pelvic pain, exercise and pregnancy, postpartum rehabilitation, bowel and sexual dysfunction.

My passion for pelvic health extends to acting as a lecturer on pelvic floor physical therapy at both New York University and Columbia University, and serving as teaching assistant for multiple pelvic floor continuing education courses through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.

About Jessie

Hello! My name is Eliza and I am a pelvic floor physical therapist. I grew up in Virginia and obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis. I am a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, and have my Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.

My passion for pelvic health began in physical therapy school when I first learned about the specialty area of pelvic health during my pediatric clinical rotation. It was there that I saw how issues like incontinence and constipation were significantly impairing normal activities for children. Subsequently I realized how pelvic floor dysfunction could negatively impact daily functions for people in any phase of life. Since then I’ve worked with people of all ages and genders.

Pelvic health is a vital area of our health which impacts us on a daily basis. Unfortunately it can be hard to identify, discuss and seek help for this part of our bodies. I strive to reduce these barriers to care, and de-stigmatize the pelvis and its incredible functions. I love providing care and education about pelvic health. My goal is to create a welcoming and safe environment where you feel comfortable and empowered. I am here to listen to your story, assess and treat you as a whole person, and to meet you where you are. We will work together to achieve the best function and quality of life for you as possible and to reduce risk of further injury or impairment.

I also enjoy providing workshops and educational talks to the community and other healthcare providers about pelvic health. As a clinical instructor to many student physical therapists, it’s been rewarding to pass my knowledge along to future pelvic health providers. I continue my professional development by taking courses ranging from birthing and postpartum, pediatric bowel and bladder, sexual health and function, breathing and posture, lymphatics, pain disorders, and urinary and gastrointestinal dysfunction topics, to name a few.

I am treating patients at the Hoboken office!
